Spike Jonze Super Dope Film Maker
Wow, Spike Jonze, what an amazing piece of art you have made here around a polarising subject. I’m not a smoker or have ever really been interested in it, however, I do see that alcohol is legal but weed isn’t generally legal. Even though it’s coming with recreational use of cannabis now legal in 10 US states, while medical consumption is legal in 33.
Creative + Story Telling Masterpiece
Anyhow, back to the Creative! In this film, the transitions from one scene to another are absolutely remarkable! The way the different scenes and lighting blend is super smooth.
How the hell are the people not moving, blinking, fidgeting, are they renders or real? Did you make a 3d scan of the talent and composite? How much of the film is shot in camera or is the whole thing renders and illustration? Did you build real sets or are they a render?
So Many Questions!
From a creative perspective, I have so many questions! It’s truly amazing to look at a piece of work and have no real idea of how it’s been made. Spike Jonze is an incredibly ‘creative’ director and storyteller, in complete control of the many moving and technical parts required to make epic creative work.
I would love to know how they made it. Yo Spike please share a making of it soon bro.
Spike Jonze The Dancer
On a side note, anyone remembers this Spike Jonze spot for British music icon Fat Boy Slim? Apparently, this video cost 800 bucks to make and that’s Spike himself as the lead dancer, moustache and stripy shirt.
Great work Spike! I totally love your art. Excited to see your next Creative output.
