A few days before Chrismas December 2004, British lifestyle magazine Harpers Bazaar commissioned Lee to photograph a portrait of the American rock band Kings Of Leon.
The Nashville rockers were performing at The Brixton Accademy in South London, United Kingdom and the venue allowed us access during a daytime soundcheck to shoot the band.
Lee remembers 'the guys were humble and down to earth, very professional and even though the shoot was sprung on them rather late in the day, they changed their clothes and gave the session all their focus and energy'.
The shoot took place in at The Brixton Academy South London. Originally captured using 5x4 160NC Kodak Portra Film on a Linhof Technika. The original negative was scanned and the image only now lives in digital form.
Another portrait from the session of Kings Of Leon can be found here.
