Happy Bikes Founder + Creative Director
From my time with Lazada and becoming a new parent, i was simply bursting with e-commerce knowledge and had the desire to create a business i could run from home. I settled on launching a range of childrens balance bikes.
I had a steep learning curve of handling the following.
-Product, Logo and Packaging design -Wholesale and MOQ requirements
-Importing a product into Singapore -Meeting lawyers to understand product liability law and waivers
-Creating, Devloping and Managing an e-commerce website (Wordpress / WooCommerce)
-Marketing, SEO, Social Media, Influencers (IG was great for us)
-Creating and managing B2B sales and relationships
-e-Commerce fulfilment, warehousing and logistics
As our Social Media presence increased, sales continued on an upward trajectory for 2+ years.
The market was disrupted by the big box retailer Decathlon. Therefore I decided to close the business, happy in the knowledge that many 100’s of children had enjoyed their initial 2 wheel journey on a Happy Bikes balance bike.
