I was a little late to the Hoonigan party, only discovering Ken Block (RIP) and the crew via Gymkhana Seven : Wild In The Streets Of Los Angeles. However, from the opening scene of seeing the tethered Hoonicorn spinning all four wheels in a cloud of tyre smoke, i was completely hooked.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a 3D artsist by the name of Jane CGI, giving away a fully textured model of the original 1975 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR. I jumped at the chance to use the model and offer a huge thank you to Jane.
In homage to the film, I felt the Hoonicorn should be featured in a warehouse, and I decided to light the car with a red hue.
The scene was created and rendered in Unreal Engine 5.3 / Pathtracer—post-production in Photoshop.
